Pitch Cinema: The Grand Budapest Hotel Screening - 3rd July

We cap of May’s big screen programme here at Pitch with a screening of one of our all-time favourites – Wes Anderson’s masterful epic The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Pastel-perfect in almost every way, this comedic yet surprisingly thoughtful caper recounts the adventures of Gustave H (Ralph Fiennes), a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori), the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.

Upon its release, The Grand Budapest Hotel was a barnstorming critical and box office success, reaching number one in multiple countries including here in the UK, where it remains Anderson’s most successful film to date.

It also scooped up multiple awards, including – predictably – the Oscar for best costume and production design, as well as best original score for long-term collaborator Alexandre Desplat’s eclectic, distinctly European soundtrack.

We’re looking forward to it nearly as much as you are. Sign up to our film club below to bag those tickets absolutely free of charge.

The film will start at 8pm sharp, but we recommend that guests arrive by 7:30pm to ensure they have enough time to collect drinks and snacks from the bar beforehand.
